Royal Ascot Hats

Nerida Fraiman has been dressing women for Royal Ascot for more than twenty years, including members of royalty, and understands both the elegance and the etiquette the occasion requires. Whether you are drawn to the drama of a sweeping wide brim, the quiet confidence of a pillbox, the poise of a sculptural headpiece or the ease of a feather fascinator, each piece is hand-crafted in Nerida’s London atelier using traditional millinery techniques and finished with meticulous attention to detail.

From the Royal Enclosure to the Queen Anne Enclosure and beyond, Nerida can advise on the appropriate style, scale and finish for your day, helping you feel confident, comfortable and beautifully dressed from the first arrival to the final race.

Many Ascot hats can be made in a colour to complement your outfit, and we are always happy to work with clients and personal stylists to find the perfect piece. Please WhatsApp or email us a picture of what you are wearing to begin a conversation. Last-minute enquiries are welcome, and we will always do our very best to help.

Royal Ascot Hats Handmade in London

Royal Ascot is one of the most significant dates in the British social season, attended by the King and Queen, international royalty, and many of Nerida Fraiman's private clients. Within the Royal Enclosure, dress code expectations call for hats of confident scale, with a minimum 10cm diameter base — and every piece in this collection is designed to meet those standards while remaining beautifully balanced and comfortable to wear from the first race to the last.

The collection moves across silhouettes: wide-brimmed hats that command space and frame the face with elegance; sculptural blocked berets and pillboxes for those who prefer a refined, architectural statement; cocktail hats and larger fascinators for enclosures where a lighter interpretation is appropriate. Each style is crafted to sit securely throughout the day, framing the face with confidence while never overpowering the wearer.

Materials are chosen for how they perform across a long race day — sinamay for structural clarity, crin for architectural drama, silk abaca for textured depth, organza for soft luminosity, and featherwork for movement and presence.

Many styles are available ready to ship; additional colourways can be made to order in our London studio with worldwide delivery available.
