About Nerida Fraiman
Nerida Fraiman is a London-based milliner whose designs have been chosen by British and international royalty, fashion icons, digital influencers and private clients across the world. Her range spans fascinators, occasion hats, turbans and a luxury casual collection. Nerida’s work is regularly featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Tatler, FT HTSI and W Magazine, among others.
Nerida Fraiman’s focus is on innovation, wearability and enduring style. Constructed from the finest materials, each hat is hand stitched to exacting standards under her guidance at her London atelier. The pieces are designed to be worn and enjoyed, always flattering and never overpowering the wearer. Established at the outset of the fascinator movement in 1998, the brand continues to evolve with current cultural trends, from Royal Ascot to modest fashion. Her hats work easily within modern lifestyles, whether for a seasoned hat wearer, a client dressing for the season, or someone who covers her hair for cultural reasons.
Following a BSc in Human Sciences at UCL, Nerida honed her craft at Philip Treacy, where she ran his ready-to-wear production and developed a strong understanding of technique, line and suitability on the model. She went on to work with Marie Mercier and the Opéra Bastille in Paris, before returning to London to complete an MA at the Royal College of Art in Womenswear Accessory Design and establish her eponymous label. She continues to explore materials and refine her methods, developing new approaches to volume and form in keeping with the brand’s considered and meticulous aesthetic.
Nerida is a founding member and Director of the British Hat Guild. Her collections have been stocked internationally, including Harrods, Selfridges and Harvey Nichols. She collaborates with stylists and designers to create bespoke headwear for their clients and collections, and offers a personal consultation and bespoke service from her London atelier. International clients are able to view, choose and be advised remotely.
