Sustainable Practice
A Considered Scale
Nerida Fraiman operates on a deliberately small scale. Only a limited number of pieces are held in stock, typically one per style and colour, with most designs made to order. Materials are ordered as required and carefully managed within the studio, ensuring production remains measured and purposeful.
Evolving, Not Replacing
Seasonal collections are introduced thoughtfully, yet designs are not retired at the end of a season. Signature silhouettes remain and are refined over time, allowing the collection to evolve rather than be replaced.
Fabrics that prove exceptional are revisited and reinterpreted, creating continuity across collections and reinforcing a timeless aesthetic.
Materials & Craft
Natural fibres such as straw, felt, silk and cotton are used wherever possible. Where structure or durability requires man-made materials, they are carefully selected.
Each piece is made by hand in the London studio by a small team of skilled artisans. The brand works predominantly with UK suppliers and maintains a close relationship with a specialist workshop in Luton, supporting British millinery craftsmanship.
Designed to Endure
Every design is created with longevity in mind, balanced in proportion and refined in detail, intended to be worn beyond a single occasion.
Hat boxes are received flat-packed and assembled in the studio before being sent to customers. Fully recyclable and designed to be kept, they offer practical, long-term storage, protecting each piece for years to come.
Nerida Fraiman creates refined British millinery with care, restraint and respect for the materials from which each piece is made — building a collection of enduring, timeless designs.
